Meet Our Ambassador — Nicole Agnes

Welcome to Meet Our Fellow & Ambassadors — a series that highlights the women who represent WeTech by promoting initiatives that foster the growth of women in technology within their universities.

Meet Nicole Agnes Yiega Muswanya , a fourth-year Informatics and Computer Science Student at the Strathmore University.

Tell us about your journey

I have been pursuing an undergraduate degree in Informatics and Computer Science for the past 4 years. Within those years I’ve had 2 internships and accrued approximately 1 year’s work experience. I have also gained exposure by attending the Grace Hopper Celebration in October 2019 as a scholar where I met with other women in technology and exchanged ideas. Similarly, I took part in a 3-day hackathon by IBM at the Qiskit Camp Africa in December 2019.

What are you currently working on?

Currently, I am working on a few personal projects as well as undertaking a Certification in Data Science.

Share something you are looking forward to

I hope to venture into healthcare research using data science especially for research, stratified and precision healthcare for Cancer patients.
