Meet Zainab Jimoh , a third-year Computer Science & Mathematics Student at Obafemi Awolowo University.

Tell us about your journey

I have been in tech for about 3 years now, I learnt the python programming language at first, then I learnt Java and decided to delve into Android Development so I learnt Kotlin. I participated in the She Codes Africa mentorship program in 2020 and the HNG internship in late 2019.

What are you currently working on?

I am an Android Developer actively trying to improve my skills by taking courses from RayWenderlich, Pluralsight and learning Data Structures and Algorithms from both LeetCode and HackerRank. I am also the lead for the OAU chapter of She Code Africa.

Share something you are looking forward to

My short term goals include improving myself to an intermediate level android developer in the next few months, finding a balance between my work and life, expanding my knowledge by learning more about other spheres in tech.

My long term goal is to be more involved in the tech community, and be an Android GDE in a few years.

If you’re inspired by Zainab, give us a 👏 and share this with your network. If you’d like to know more about WeTech, click here.
